The 2017 Nissan Murano will feature a slightly redesigned outer look with a fresh appearance. The Nissan Murano is likely to be based on the Nissan’s highly praised D platforms. The automakers will use aluminum for the body so as to enable this latest model to shed off its weight to around 4,200 pounds. The grille is fairly larger with round edges that reduce its full-bodied and rough appearance. This new Nissan Murano will also be provided with an additional tailgate and strengthened rear end bumpers. It also has aluminum wheels coupled with the best rear spoilers. Since Nissan Murano is specifically made to be driven on all types of terrain, the Nissan automaker offers both the 2-wheel drive and the all-wheel drive variants. Its fuel consumption has been rated at 26 mpg highway and 20 mpg city while using the front wheel variant, and 25 mpg highway, 19 mpg city while using the all-wheel drive. The model can accelerate from 0-60 mph in around 8 seconds.
A hybrid model is also expected to be offered and expectations are that it shall be combined with the 2.5 liters inline-four gasoline engine together with a 15-kWh electric motor. A lithium-ion battery will be installed under the 3rd-row seat and it won’t affect the interior space.
