The next generation 2017 Lincoln MKZ was spotted sporting camouflage on its front and back side and being test driven in Michigan. Taking design cues from recently unveiled Continental Concept, this vehicle will boast of numerous upgrades to appeal to modern generation of customers. Apart from changes in exterior style, 2017 Lincoln MKZ will also have better quality interiors than its predecessor and quite possibly a new powertrain. Until more official information arrives, we are unlikely to report any concrete details. Whatever you will read here has been written to the best of our knowledge.
2017 Lincoln MKZ: Redesign Exterior and Interior
Following the Continental, this car too will have its split-wing grille replaced by a more exposed design. The 2017 Lincoln MKZ will feature unique exhaust tips, a new hood and not so bent headlights equipped with LED. Apart from details, we currently have no information if car dimensions will remain same; if it does then you can expect similar Aerodynamic capability like its predecessor. It is likely that the car will lose a considerable amount of weight owing to use of aluminum and high-strength steel. A lighter car always results in better handling alongside reduction in fuel consumption. So, you have all the more reasons for being happy.
Inside the 2017 Lincoln MKZ, you will find similar type of details as found in MKC. It is clear that this vehicle has adopted few styles that found its way inside of MKC and implemented them in an even better way. In addition to spacious cabin, there will be leather studded seats on premium trim levels and other high quality materials to furnish rest of the car’s interiors. The classic knobs and button controls have been reprised, thus lending an old school vibe for those who are nostalgic. Because of increased cabin space, we are certain that there would be more place for passengers to stretch out their heads and legs all the while packing in more cargo.
As most of you already know, MyLincoln infotainment system has been the tried and tested option for a couple of generations. This time, it should be no different. Expect support features like Satellite Navigation, Cruise control, etc along with the ever important safety bags.
